
It brings together key elements (parental involvement and service
learning) to achieve its objectives. The Life Skills Program is available
for various venues including, but not limited to, in-school and
after-school programs, civic organizations, and churches.

At the end of Phase II, participants are treated to a trip as a
reward for their successful completion of the first two phases.
Participants who complete the entire program are awarded
a $200 savings account.

The Life Skills Program, a teen pregnancy prevention initiative sponsored
by the Council on Adolescents of Catawba County and funded by the
North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
The program focuses on self-image, communication, relationships, decision-making, and personal health. Each phase of the program has its own unique set of goals and objectives which culminate into the ultimate goal of well-prepared, well-rounded, and highly skilled leaders.
